On a slightly different note.

The sneaky little dude went into his bedroom right before nap

and hid a football under his pillow.

Unluckily for him, his Mama isn't as dumb as she looks! =)

I'm ashamed to admit it, but there are so many parts of this book 

that just FLY right over my head.

Which makes me wonder.....what does that make me????!!!!

Freaky Wednesday

Have you seen the movie Freaky Friday?

I realize it's only Wednesday, but something most definitely freaky is happening over here!

Sit down for this one.

The almost 4 year old (random napper) is sleeping soundly

and the 1 year old (rock star napper) is having a screaming, whimpering, no nap fit!

It's bizarro!!

And I don't like it!!!!!!

True Confessions

"Hi, my name is Debby and I pick trash."

I'm not a super obsessed trash picker. 

I just find things, every now and then, that I can't pass up.

...enter my newest find. And boy was she a F.I.N.D!!!

Here she is as I found her: (minus a small amount of snow on top!)

It was a little vanity in it's previous life. 

It had a mirror attached, but was needing some help anyway.

I just love the style and the cute little drawer with the silver knob!

I cleaned it up and removed the mirror. 

And here she is in her current state:

She'll sit here in the living room for now, but I think eventually she'll be in our spare bedroom...you know, once we HAVE a spare bedroom! =)

In case you don't know, we're currently in a holding pattern for putting a 2nd floor on our house.

It's a classroom that the Lord has us in right now to teach us LOTS of good, tough stuff! =)

Anyway, Lord willing, some day we will have the 2nd floor and we will have a spare bedroom.

And this little beauty will be a desk for guests and a place for my laptop (you know, so it'll be out of sight and I won't spend waste so much time on it! ;)

I can't decide if I want to paint her white or black so I think I'll leave her as she is until I know exactly where she'll be and what she should look like.

I'm really excited about this table!

Sammy and Caleb Say

This is Caleb's first edition of Caleb says 

(and fitting of a 2nd child he has to share 

it with his brother - poor child is gonna 

need some serious therapy some day!!)

Sammy: "Run, Caleb! Run from your life!!!"

 (don't we all have days like that?!)

Caleb: "Goooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaal! 

(Can you tell he's been watching too much Soccer with his obsessed Daddy?)

Caleb: "Uhguuuuuhs!" (translation: Eagles!!) 

(he's also been watching the Eagles with his Daddy)

Caleb: "Uh-lub-uh-tuh" 

(you really have to sound that one out and 

even then it's like trying to decode hieroglyphics! 

Let me help, "I love you too") 

So cute!!

The little things that are making me happy today

{Whoever "they" are, they were right when they said 'simple things for simple minds'!!}

1. The boys slept in until 8:35 today! Yipeee!

2. I am down 3 lbs in 2 days 

(granted the first weigh was in the afternoon and 

this one in the morning, but just let me celebrate, ok?! I'm stoked!!)

3. I had chicken and black beans cooking before 9am! 

I'm having such a hard time thinking of good things to eat, 

but I figure these have tons of protein and fiber and not 

many calories so if nothing else they'll be great for breakfasts.

4. God has been providing for us in the most amazing ways! 

(yes, I know, this isn't a little thing by any means!!) 

He's provided for us over the past few weeks through 

friends & family, 

extra painting jobs (and MUCH higher paying ones!!) 

and even people who don't know us! 

And all of this in a time when we need it most!! 

We're seriously overwhelmed at God's amazing love and care for us!!!!

While driving down a street with lots of trees on a sunny day:

"Mommy, the sun keeps trying to take my picture!"

{you know when the sun seems to 'flash' at you between the trees as you drive?}

"Mommy, the moon is broken!"

{it was a half moon, but he was very concerned!}

"Who's making all of that racket?!"

{He had just gone to bed and I was using the blender and Daddy was using a cordless drill}
